Explore the Puez-Odle Nature Park or the Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park with its legendary Kingdom of Fanes, watch animals in their natural habitat and discover mountain flowers, see the lunar landscapes of the high plateaus or visit the ancient farms of the valley. There is something for every taste and in every level of difficulty.
Also the mountain tour to the Conturines Cave, a 200 m long cave where the remains of the cave bear “Ursus ladinicus” have been found, is a popular hike. Further theme walks include Mt. Lagazuoi with its places of the mountain warfare of WWI, the Dolomite High Routes, theme paths such as the Larch Forest Trail and the Path of the Artists as well as the La Crusc Pilgrimage Church with the Snow Cave at the foot of Mt. Sasso delle Dieci.
Don’t forget to wear hiking shoes and to bring mountain equipment, enough provisions and water. For the cave a lamp is necessary! Guided tours in the Alta Badia - usually on a weekly basis - are offered by the Alta Badia Tourist Information (phone: +39 0471 836176) as well as by the Alta Badia Mountain Guides (phone: +39 0471 836898).
