The beautiful area of the Passo Valparola and the Passo delle Erbe invites to an adventure in one of Alta Badia’s climbing gardens

To explore the breathtaking alpine world in Alta Badia there are hiking trails and fixed-rope routes as well as a total of five climbing gardens, ranging from easy to demanding.
Pederü - San Vigilio in Marebbe:
Level of difficulty: medium
Routes: 14 routes up to 6a, 8 routes between 6b and 7a
Journey: San Vigilio in Marebbe - Pederü with the Rif. Pederü mountain hut (parking space)
Approach: via a narrow trail towards the Rif. Fodara-Vedla mountain hut, access 5 mins.
Passo delle Erbe pass:
Level of difficulty: between easy and medium
Routes: 10 routes up to 5c, 8 routes between 6a and 6c, 5 routes over 7a
Journey: San Martino in Badia - Passo delle Erbe (Würzjoch) - parking space on the pass
Approach: hiking path 8A/8B - follow the trail marked with red dots
Sass di Stria - Falzarego:
Level of difficulty: easy
Routes: 9 routes in the 4th grade, 14 routes between 5a and 5c, 4 routes in 6a
Journey: San Cassiano - Passo Valparola pass - parking space along the old road (500 m after the top of the pass)
Approach: past the boulder rock in the recess (10 mins.)
Sass Dlacia - San Cassiano:
Level of difficulty: technically demanding
Routes: 4 routes in the 4th grade, 11 routes between 5b and 5c, 92 routes between 6a and 6c, 77 routes up to 7c and 5 routes in 8a
Journey: San Cassiano - Armentarola - turn left at the signpost “Capanna Alpina” - parking space along a dried-up river bed
Approach: cross the river bad in order to reach the picnic area - 10-20 mins. to the single approaches
Boulder area Valparola:
Perfect for: boulder (rugged Dolomitic limestone)
Routes: 9 boulder up to 5a, 20 boulder between 5b and 6a, 17 boulder between 6b and 7a, 4 boulder in 7b, 1 boulder in 7c and 1 boulder in 8b
Journey: San Cassiano - Passo Valparola pass - parking space along the old road (1 km before the Passo Falzarego pass)
Approach: in the recess between the road and the Sass di Stria climbing garden (mentioned above)
